Common Dream Symbols: Spider, Toilet, Snake, [Part 5]

in #life7 years ago

This is part 5 in a series of dream symbols I am adding to the steemit blogs. As a disclaimer, and for those who are interested, I have learned dream analysis through the life-changing, online courses offered by Michael Sheridan and will be sharing universal symbols from his method of dream interpretation. Please feel free to share your dreams in the comments section if you've seen these symbols in your own dreams.

SPIDER

"A spider indicates childhood fears. If you have a fear of spiders or have witnessed anyone with it, you can understand that the fear is irrational. There is no way you are under any threat from the spider. The dream is pointing out that you have an irrational fear when it comes to the subject matter of the dream. You need to overcome this fear." - Michael Sheridan

TOILET

"Toilets have to do with elimination. The elimination being asked for can be a negative trait, the effects of a trauma or the negative influence of someone in your life.

When dreams focus on the physical toilet, it is about your physical elimination system. For example, if the toilet is blocked with milk cartons is means your body cannot eliminate milk or dairy products properly so you need to cut down on dairy products or cut them out.

A toilet bowl symbolizes your bowel." - Michael Sheridan

SNAKE

"Snakes in their most common usage in dreams, assuming you do not work with them in reality, represent a threat of cancer. This is because snakes eat living organisms, camouflaging or hiding themselves and striking unawares. A single dream or a few in a row are nothing to worry about. If, however, you consistently dream of snakes go to your doctor for a check-up. Where the snakes are located and other symbols in the dream give clues about where the cancer will manifest if left to its own devices. For example, the kitchen represents the digestive system; the fridge or cooker indicates the stomach; the bathroom or waste pipe indicates the colon or bowel; a frying pan indicates the pancreas; vacuum cleaner, air ducts, ventilation system or a coffee table indicates the lungs.

Snakes can indicate that you have a counseling ability. In these dreams the snake is non-threatening. In the Chinese astrological system, people born under the sign of the snake are said to be wise and wisdom in dreams indicates counseling.

A snake can also indicate that you are in a bad relationship and this is how you now view your partner." - Michael Sheridan

Hey @aprilangel! I found your page through @axios 's most recent post on Steemit Discoveries so checked out your page.

So, back in High School, for one of my speeches for speech class, I thought it would be fun to talk about what dreams might mean. It was a fun project to research and I enjoyed finding out everything I did. I was made fun of by the "class clowns" though; one of them went, "What does it mean to have a wet dream?" Idiot haha.

Anyways, you have a very interesting blog and I wanna learn from you about what dreams could potentially mean! Here's a new follower! :)

Hi @cabernet! Following you right back!

"Idiot haha" made me laugh. Friggin' kids man, they make fun of absolutely anything and everything. You could be actual royalty and they'd find away to insult you with it.

I 100% believe that dreams are incredibly meaningful and offer guidance on health, relationships, life purpose, career, spiritual gifts....everything - and do so constantly.

I can't recommend the life changing courses offered by Michael Sheridan for gaining the deepest insights into anyone's life purpose. In leiu of that, I recommend this book:

Everything I post here will reflect what I've learned from him. I'm glad to meet you!!! Looking forward to maybe seeing one of your dreams sometime. :)

Thank you for the book suggestion! I'll find a way to get a hold of it soon.

I'll keep an eye out for when you post your next "Do you have questions about your dreams?" blog :D

I'll work that post up tonight. :)

thanks for your information, I am very fond of and useful to me. Thank you very much

Thanks!

I love animals but I do not have a snake. Your post has been great.

Thanks!

Very interesting! I have a reoccurring nightmare with giant spiders as a kid and not cant work out where my fear lay. Overcame it years ago but nice insight:) 💯🐒

Thanks! Dreaming of spiders will be about fears that are maybe holding us back in some way too.

wonderful animal photography. i like your psychology content. thanks for sharing

Thanks!

I was waiting this part you post it late i hope everything goes alright with you

Thank you, I was having a hard time figuring out the meaning of a difficult dream on a different post and I think I waited to move forward with posting dream symbols so that individual wouldn't think I was ignoring or forgetting them. Silly logic. I eventually cracked the code on their dream though. Had to channel on it. :)

Again something new and amazing inputs and specially, the snake one, that is something more interesting and want to know that how dream of snake is related to cancer or any other medical problems. Thanks for sharing this informative post.

Have a great day and stay blessed.

You really helped me with the toilet symbol in a dream before. Thanks, friend!
