Time management is all about putting activities in their right places and doing them as they are due. it's all about doing the right thing at the right time. Student use the first twenty-five years of their existence to prepare for the rest 45 years of life.The last 7 years (3 years in the senior secondary school and 4 years in the university) are the most deciding factor of the rest of the life we live . Making the most of those 7 years should enjoy prominent attention.

PECULIARITY OF TIME

Time has some peculiarities we must be aware of in order to make the best use of it.

1 . It is Universal : Nobody has the monopoly of it; nobody has more than 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year more than the other.

2 . Time cannot be cheated : If you waste time you cannot run away from its repercussion. " A man who spend his evening hours pushing cart in the market square has squandered his morning hours doing something else."

3 . Ir-reversibility of Time : Time is irreversible. Once used, it cannot be recalled. The past minute cannot be recalled . Time also cannot be replaced , saved , bought,borrowed , manufactured, or modified.

4 . Neutrality of Time : Time has no bias for anybody . It gives to you a just return of what you invest in it.

FACTORS OF TIME ROBBER

There are a lot of activities that waste each ones precious time. We need to know them and be alert to curb them.

• Sleep - No one has ever received an award for been a heavy sleeper ! You can contain the problem of sleep by going on a light food in the night.

• Procrastination - This is an act of pushing forward what can /should be done now. A person who procrastinate reading, doing or submitting an assignment hardly meet deadline and hardly accomplish anything worthwhile at school.

• Facebook and Social Media - Many of us would rather spend more time surfing the net or tweeeting than to do what is really required to do at the right time. e.g We should update our Steemit Blog so as to enlighten one another instead of facebooking

• Lack of purpose, focus and goal - Student who do not have Goals and lack of focus or do not understand their purpose in life will waste their time on something else.

• Television and Video Games - some student spend a chunk of their time indiscriminately on sporting activities, watching movies and involving in games when it isn't required at that moment.

• Devise a time - table

• Eliminate all time waster like games, television, Facebook and irrelevant surfing of internet

• Be disciplined, principled and focused, though you need to be flexible always ensure you embark on only has a place in your time-table.

• Sensitize yourself against time - wasting activities using quotes from which you can paste on your folder or conspicuous place in your room.
