Millionaire Shortcuts 5 of 42: You will fail

in #life7 years ago (edited)

The fear of failure stops you from going for your goals. Everyone makes mistake, some will be small and some will be big. You want to try and minimize the risk of failure and their effects, but do not be afraid of stumbling. Things just will not work the first time we do them and this is something that applies to everything in life, you learn by doing.

Do you remember learning to ride a bike? You did not learn before falling off a couple of times, you did not quit and was on it again as soon as your small grazes had healed until you mastered it. Think the same way in business and career and realize that it is only the fear that keeps you back and not the errors, they are only small lessons.

Walt Disney got fired from one of his first jobs as an animator in a paper because the editor meant he did not have enough creativity. Later he also drove an animation company he owned bankrupt. Henry Ford failed five times before he gained success with the car brand we know today. One of the greatest basketball players Michael Jordan was cut from the team he played on in his high school.

It is like Henry Ford said: “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”

Combine this with Warren Buffets saying of: “It is good to learn from your mistakes. It is better to learn from other people's mistakes”

I failed here quite a few times. I'm glad I didn't quit. I'm also glad you reminded me of it!
