I hate it when people condescendingly say, "I used to be an anarchist, but then I grew up." It usually means they wore black and read Marx, and then abandoned his brand of authoritarian BS for mainstream authoritarian BS.

Yep. They thought of something they decided was worth robbing, raping, and murdering for... for "the common good". Something like roads or a "safety net". LOL

That reminds me. Robert Reich has a new book out called, The Common Good. Wanna bet it's just a bunch of, "Obey me and my cronies because we know what's best for you peasants," couched in populist padding?
