RE: Freedom plus responsibility

in #liberty5 years ago

Is this the definitions of Liberty and Freedom?
Or your definitions?

Because i have tried to define the difference, or to at least define them for me.

Like, why is it that a service man get "liberty" when he gets permission for leave.

Your definitions are pretty easy to work with.
And, what is wrong with many people, especially those calling themselves the left, is that they are allergic to responsibility.

Such as, abortion is the ultimate in avoiding responsibility for the freedoms you chose to enact.

Sort:

"Like, why is it that a service man get "liberty" when he gets permission for leave."

Because government-supremacists (and other liars) like to pervert words to mean the opposite of what they mean so that people won't realize they are evil.

Take Thomas Jefferson's definition or description and compare it to mine:
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others."
Doesn't that describe freedom tempered with responsibility to you?
