Why The Left Has NO Arguments.. (All based in emotions, NEVER facts)
Its interesting to see people who lean left debating true Conservatives. In any topic it always goes the same way. The person on the left will start with some notion about the topic, not based in any facts or reality. He will make the case of the topic that is solely based in compassion or emotion. The conservative will then smile, mainly because he knows that he has facts to dispute every single emotional argument that was just made. He will rattle off a few facts pounding down the argument the Lefty had just made. The Lefty will then feel cornered and have nothing to rebut with, then comes back with a personal attack on the Conservative. This is when you know you have won the debate.
Lets pick a topic to demonstrate this theory; something rather left field, raising animals just for their meat.
So the debate begins (true story, by the way)
Lefty: The issue with raising animals just for their meat is that we are force breeding animals and feeding them absolute garbage feed, just so we can kill them and eat them. We lock them up in tiny cells while they grow so we can walk them down to a machine room and chop their heads off and scrape out the meat. Its cruel. Its inhumane. These animals have feelings and do not deserve to be treated this way. The killing of animals is not natural or right. We should be cultivating the land instead, and eating a vegetarian diet. The animals need a voice.
My Conservative Reply: Firstly, Id like to know if you have some sort of a ranking system for animals, if beetles, worms flies, maggots, ants, rabbits, and chipmunks score less or more than the animals we mass produce IE cows, pigs, chickens . Id assume that you would rate the life of a cow or a pig higher than you would a fly or a chipmunk, mainly because its cute. Cows and pigs are cute animals, almost like a pet dog, and that notion is derived from children books. So you get to choose the morality of an animal, while neglecting to see the irony. Far more insects and small rodents get killed by large harvester machines that go in the field with huge blades and cut down all the crops, than cows or pigs that are killed. But you aren't fighting for ladybug rights, or earthworm rights. The argument is that solely of emotion, and furthermore, not based in any facts. The Human body was not meant to eat plants at the rate that we do today. Those old feminist vegans who camp out in Vermont have bones bowing by the time they are in their early fifties, mainly because they have not gotten any evolutionarily required substance, like meat, in their lives. Everyone thinks kale is really good for you, its pushed on us so hard that we should all eat kale and make kale smoothies and just shit green, however kale in near impossible for humans to digest. It was not meant for us to eat. It is not healthy for humans to eat kale because it can lead to intestinal problems. The only reason we eat all these vegetables is because of early and mid century farming subsidies that have exponentially raised the production of crops like corn and kale. Corn is especially dangerous, because as you mentioned, we make so much of it that humans don't eat, we give it to the animals that we mass produce. So we are feeding the cows and the pigs and the chickens all this surplus corn that they eat, and in turn we eat by eating these animals. So the issue isn't that we are mass producing meat in America, its that the farming subsidies are leading to the growth of crops we don't need at all. We need meat. Stop drinking your green smoothie thinking that its good for you. It's a lie. The USDA is lobbied to have all these plants put on the food suggestions plate, meat is the smallest portion on the plate. We don't and shouldn't be eating all these grains and greens, they are not what humans evolutionarily need. If we keep cultivating the land, it will run out of nutrients to grow crops, and we wont be able to farm anywhere in the US. Following basic history, civilizations end when the farm land is not farmable. This only takes a few hundred years to deplete the land. The way we mass produce these crops is no better, I suppose in your view, than how we mass produce animals.
The Left Responce: No, you just don't care about the animals and you want to give farmers money, you evil capitalist pig.
And, in short, that is when you know you have won the argument. Its easy to understand that the left has no arguments ever. Everything is based in emotion, and when you start basing every policy on emotion you get communism.
MY ADVICE: Learn as many facts as you can to make the Left feel stupid that all they have is how they feel, use it against them, and educate them with the truth.
There are two types of liberal arguments: ad hominems and appeals to emotion
