[LEARN & EARN - Week #19] Fibonachi sequence found in music and Dolphins are using tools.
Ive had such a rough week that I also didnt make this weeks post on Learn and Earn created by @matkodurko!
Its Friday late afternoon and Im sitting here blogging instead of being social, sad? Im not sure, but hopefully its worthit :D
1. The Fibonacci Sequence also found in music
Ive known about the Fibonacci Sequence found in nature, but I never knew that it was found in music too.
Its a series of numbers that exhibits a fascinating numerical pattern that was originally discovered by Leonardo Pisano Bigollo.
Numbers in the Fibonacci sequence can be seen on a piano keyboard and in the musical scales. For example, scales along a piano keyboard are composed of thirteen keys in the span of a full octave which consists of eight white keys and five black keys that are arranged in groups of two and three along the keyboard. Fibonacci numbers are also present in the notes that make up musical scales. For example, the Pentatonic scale has five notes, the Diatonic scale has eight notes, and the Chromatic scale has thirteen notes. In addition, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes in any scale create the basic foundation of chords.

2. The brutal Shrike
These birds are also called "butcherbirds" and as many of you might know, these songbirds catch their prey and then impale them on sharp thorns and things like bared wire.
What I didnt know about them was that they actually break the necks of their prey before doing so
They grasp frogs, mice and birds by the neck with their pointed beak, pinch the spinal cord to induce paralysis, and then vigorously shake their prey with enough force to break its neck.
alllllright then.

3. Dolphins are super smart and have been observed using sea sponges as tools!
Some species of dolphins carry sea sponges on their beaks, it would appear that the sponges help to protect their sensitive snouts from sharp rocks, stingrays, urchins, and other things that might hurt them!
As you can imagine, this is a fascinating discovery as animals using tools would suggest great intelligence and suggests a level of cognitive sophistication that we'd previously reserved only for ourselves and our closest cousins
Thats all Ive got for you guys, I hope you learnt something cool too!
Hah it reminded me of one song which was generated by algorithm to not have any musical sequence or anything..like a complete antimusic :D And those birds..hmm...scary :D
Thanks for this interesting post, @aliciasteyn! The Fibonacci sequence is also used by traders... a lot! And I mean A LOT!!! 😂
Ahh I see. That's pretty interesting, do you trade?

No, I tried... and I failed, I tried again, I failed again. Tried some more... and you guessed it, I failed. So I stopped trying. 😂
Same here :D
Maybe apply the sequence to gambling, roulette??

Nah. Now I'll just buy Bitcoin and wait for it to be above $35 000 to sell. It's much easier than try to sell and re-buy it cheaper everyday. It never works for me. 😛
Amazing
