WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A LEADER?

Courage:
Courage is one of the most common trait that we link with leaders. a leader must be courageous does not mean he should be physical very strong instead he should have the nerves to deal with ups and downs yet staying calm. He should have the mental strength to keep moving forward despite the rough patches. This mental strength will allow him to pass through the natural time it takes to reach to the destination desired.

Risk taking ability:

                         We all are familiar with the phrase Higher the risk higher the returns, there are many in the market who you adopt simple and convenient approach to business. i.e 2 + 2= 4 formula. They get into things which are pretty clear and risk averse. They consider themselves as intelligent when they see the real leader/entrepreneur in problem or going through failures since they are at comfortable position. There are also time during the struggling phase when you as an suffering entrepreneur also wish to be in their boots and living a comfortable life. You should not forget at that time that the risks that took you to this level will one day toss you above the sky, provided you keep moving forward.

Patience:

          Patience is the key to the success door. Patience comes with sound knowledge of not only the field you are working in but also with the knowledge of those who made the impact. When you have in your mind that there was a time when even the greats were in the same very position I am in, it allows you to stay steady and calm with a realization that it’s just the matter of time when all the things will start turning in my favor.

Sacrifice:

Without sacrifice, nothing comes your way. in this journey of lofted goals, you may have to sacrifice your hobbies, your family, your friends, your party times, your sleep, your comfort hence many things that may create hindrance in your pursuit of your passion. However, few sacrifices are essential which makes you a better person and others can put you into even more trouble. Therefore, if you are a good leader, you can make a reasonable balance however still there would be few years when you have to compromise everything for a greater purpose and may be later compensate them.

Belief:

Normally we practice this in religions, but its application in business and other courses of life has proved the most fruitful. Any person with a strong belief of achieving what he desires tends to succeed. Buddha said you become what you think. This comes with a strong sense of belief that you have the guts, the power, and the passion to move the mountains. Hence whatever you are doing, you should have this belief in you that if others can, I can too.

Being different:

          One thing that leader needs is followers, the leader or an entrepreneur is only gauged by the number of people either following him or working under him. to be on this level, you need to stand out, and for that you need to be different, different not only from the peers, followers but also from the competitors, so that you establish an identity which your customers or followers could see and chose you over others.

Vision:
What was special in Jack Ma that his staff worked for Ali Baba for 2 years without salary? His personality, his communication, no, it was his futuristic vision that kept them working without thinking of short term returns. A leaders must have a strong vision and a sense of change. a vision that is shared in which everyone feels part of.

Ability to empower others:

a leader is the one who has this knack of keeping its peers, followers, staff motivated by using different empowering techniques. Leader must know the art of developing in the employees a feeling of own-ness and individual well-being. The entrepreneur must create a learning environment which may help the members develop sense of confidence to be the best in future.
