Even tho I am a native speaker, I like the idea very much. I know quite some people who really enjoy learning German as its some "exotic" and often funny sounding language for their ears. In an Europe having so many language and neighbours next doors, I think its always a good idea to know a few words as it can make communication way easier. (right my italian friends.... Cup americano... i wished someone explained it before my first trips ;))
