What you thought you lacked...
.."...Remember the Tin Man found he had what he thought he lacked.."
This from a song by Tracy Chapman titled, Remember The Tin Man.
TC is referring to the Tin Man in the Wizard of OZ who thought he had no heart.
In other words the Tin Man went on a journey looking for what he thought he didn't have, or what somebody else told him he didn't have, only to discover he had a heart all along.
The Tin Mans Journey is not unlike the journey we must all take to find what it is we already have, yet we think we lack.
What is it that you think you lack?
Are you looking outside your relationship because the grass looks greener? Is it always them who treat you wrong?
Are you staying in a nowhere job because you think that is all you deserve?
When you look at your reflection in the mirror what do you see reflected back?
Are you always surrounded with others so you will never have to be alone with yourself?
It is time to begin your Tin Man journey.
Sit in silence and start connecting with you. There is a voice that has been trying to get your attention; it is your own voice. If you sit still and listen you will hear it.
The more you listen to your own voice the closer you come to meeting the true you--you will find that you have had everything you needed all along, just like the Tin Man.
Thanks Tracy
