A walk in the courtyard
Autumn. The sun, although not as bright as in summer, still shines warmly on the earth, coloring it in golden and red hues. I went out into the courtyard to enjoy this beautiful season. Every step along the familiar path brought joy and peace.
I've known the yard since I was a kid. I remember how my friends and I used to play hide-and-seek and catch-up here. But today everything is different. The trees that used to look tall are now wrapped in yellow patches of foliage, ready to fall from the branches. I sat down on a bench and watched the wind playfully lift the leaves, making them whirl in a dance.
Children were playing in the next yard. Their laughter filled the space with lightness and joy. They caught the ball, threw it to each other, and their fun was transmitted to me. I remembered how I could spend hours playing such simple games. Time flies inexorably, but the memories stay with us forever.
Suddenly, I noticed bright flowers growing along the path. It was as if they had bloomed specifically to decorate this corner of the sky on earth. I walked past them, and their scent reminded me of summer, which is already over. Nearby, one of the grandmothers sprayed flowers from a watering can, carefully giving them freshness. We exchanged a kind smile. This simple meeting was like a ray of warmth warming the soul.
While I was sitting on the bench, someone left an old book on the table next to the playground. I looked into it and saw that the pages were filled with poems about nature and love. Every word seemed to repeat what I was feeling right now: tenderness for life and admiration for its beauty. I remembered how important it is sometimes to stop and listen to yourself and the world around you.
After spending a few hours in my yard, I realized how valuable simple moments are. The walk, like a small journey into the world of memories and reflections, gave me a feeling of peace and happiness. Embracing the autumnal atmosphere, I went home, realizing that even in the yard you can find true harmony with yourself and the world around you.
