I still see Bitcoin to $1 million John McAfee explains
Well-known crypto enthusiast and entrepreneur John McAfee again confirmed his forecast for Bitcoin to grow to $ 1 million in 2020.
McAfee points out that the maximum number of bitcoins is 21 million, while a significant share of the first cryptocurrency has already lost forever.
“Let’s get real, there are only 21 million bitcoins, Seven million of which have been lost forever, and then, if Satoshi [ anonymous BTC creator] is dead, add a few more million,” said McAfee in an interview with Forbes.
To date, about 85% of all bitcoins have already mined. The complexity of mining is constantly increasing, and the reward for mining the block will decrease, and this should play into the hands of the first cryptocurrency. To date, 17.97 million BTC have been mined, and just over 3 million coins remain to be mined.
“Just look at the numbers. If bitcoin takes 5% of the global economy, and it takes, and you know it, and maybe it will take more, then it will cost $ 10 million per coin. But I’m a very conservative man, I said only $ 1 million per bitcoin, I stick to it. ”said John McAfee.
The cryptocurrency enthusiast emphasized that he sees a means of accumulating wealth only in Bitcoin. In his opinion, other projects have already surpassed the first cryptocurrency in technical and functional aspects, but Bitcoin will remain the base for exchange.
