Is Common Sense Really Common?

I have a bad habit, sometimes, of generalizing what I think ought to be common sense for people. But several times, I’ve been confronted by people whose minds seemed to be a protest against intelligence.

I should give fools grace and remember that wisdom takes a lot of thinking.

For the record, my take is on the paradigm of common sense, not advanced knowledge.
