Keto Recipe (Low Carb): Ham & Cheese Calzone
This Ham & Cheese Calzone is amazing! My niece & nephews who love hot pockets and eat them almost every meal, every day, say that this is WAY better! Kid Approved!
This could easily be adapted to use different meats & cheeses. You could also add in some veggies (if you're into that...). I am going to try this again with a little pizza sauce, ground beef, and pepperonis for an Italian calzone/pizza pocket.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups mozzarella cheese
3/4 cups almond flour
2 tbsp cream cheese
1 egg
4 slices ham
4 slices cheese
2 tbsp mayo
Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 425
- Add cheese to bowl
- Add almond flour
- Add cream cheese
- Microwave for 1 minute
- Mix
- Microwave for 30 seconds
- Mix
- Add egg
- Mix in egg with hands
- Spread mixture on pan with parchment paper
- Place ham and cheese on the dough
- Spread mayo on dough and ham/cheese
- Fold dough over ham/cheese
- Press edges together to make into a pocket
- Cook for 7 minutes
- Remove from oven and flip the pocket over
- Cook for another 8 minutes
- Remove from oven
- Let sit for 10 minutes
- Cut into pieces
- Enjoy!
