About Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park is situated in the area of ​​Golaghat and Nagaon of Assam, spread over an area of ​​430 km2. This park was established in 1908. This park is a type of heritage which is not just India but it is the world's heritage. In 1904, when Mary Curson, wife of Lord Curzon of Kedleston, visited this area to see a horny rhinoceros, she did not show a single rhinoceros. Then on coming back, Lord Curzon of Kedleston forced the conservation of dwindling habitats in this area and in 1905 prepared the Kaziranga proposed reserve van in 232 km2 area. Gradually, its area expanded according to requirement and today the total area of ​​this park is 430 km2. The main objective of this park is to conserve the species of one-horned rhinoceros. This park was home to many wildlife besides Gande.

History of Kaziranga National Park

Over time, everything changed, and in 1950, it was renamed Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary by P. D. Stracey. In 1954, the Assam Government created a bid for this study, under which the punishment of the victim of a rhinoceros was filled, which was passed in 1968 as the Assam National Park Act of 1968 and it was declared a National Park. In 1985, UNESCO declared this park as World Heritage. Kaziranga is home to the high density of tigers in all protected areas of the world, due to which it was declared as the tiger Reserve by the government in 2006.

Wildlife Sanctuaries

In addition to the three major vegetarian creatures (elephant, rhinoceros and deer) in this national park spread over an area of ​​430 km2, here a total of 35 species of mammalian species are known as breeding populations. Most single horny rhinoceros are found in this park. It is said that the population of the water buffalo found here is found in the world, 57% of the total population is found in Kaziranga. Apart from the water buffalo here, the density of tigers found here is the highest in the world. Apart from all these creatures, many other types of creatures can be seen in this park. Many migratory birds, birds of water, etc. are found in Kaziranga. Here in the jungles you see various types of snakes and various kinds of animal species.

Best Time to Visit Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga has a rainy season, due to which often the news of the fence is heard. If you want to see this park or plan to take advantage of this park, you can take advantage of this attraction at any time by leaving the monsoon time. Due to excess rainfall in monsoon, the park is closed in monsoon.

Transport Services :-

To reach Kaziranga, the government has arranged a paved road to the park. This road connects Tezpur and Golaghat to the nearby cities of Kaziranga. There is 250 km from Kaziranga, from Guwahati where you can take away cabs or other services.

(1) Airplane - If you are traveling from the airplane then you can come to Jorhat, Dimapur, Guwahati or Tezpur near Kaziranga, from where you can reach the park with the help of bus, taxi or other ride. Tejpur is 100 km from the park Jorhat 97 km, Dimapur is 172 km and distance is 217 km from Guwahati.

(2) Train :- If you are coming from the rail to take advantage of this place, then you can reach nearby station Bokakhat, Golaghat Station, from which other options for Kaziranga will be easily available. The distance of these stations is 23 km and 65 km, respectively.

(3) Bus - If you are reaching India by taking the road service while visiting India, then Assam Government has operated several tourism buses by the Transport Corporation which will reach Kashiranga.
