Currently in Indonesia you are prohibited to say: "I did". Because in Indonesia is buzzing about the issue of PKI (Partai Komunis Indonesia), a political party that is prohibited in this country. The people and Government of Indonesia are experiencing a very acute PKI phobia.

Although it has been frozen for alleged treason, the issue of the PKI will again rise-in is the warmly discussed in Indonesia rightnow.

Even recently, we as citizens of Indonesia are appealed by the TNI Commander (Indonesian national army), to return to watch the 30S / PKI crushing film, a debatable film about the truth of its contents.

The commander is worried that this nation will again be infiltrated by communist ideology (PKI). By watching the film, the people of Indonesia will recall the history, he said.

Then what happen with the words: "I did"?

Oh yes, I forgot to tell you about who was the PKI's leader. PKI used to be, in the reign of President Soekarno (New Order) is a legitimate and large political party.

The party is led by D.N. Aidit (in the Indonesian spelling "Aidit" read "I did"), who was later accused of masterminding a coup against Soekarno's government by a senior TNI officer named Soeharto at the time.

Aidit, et al was accused of being the mastermind of the kidnapping of TNI generals, on 30 September 1956, which was further confirmed as the Hero of the Indonesian Revolution. The movement led by Aidit was later known as the Istilalah of the September 30 Movement (G30S / PKI).

After that incident, then Aidit, et al then hunted for trial. He was later arrested and sentenced to death.

Therefore, Aidit and his political movements and his ideology are hated in this country, so to name justice is forbidden.

For that, if you visit Indonesia and just happen to speak English, as much as possible avoid saying the words "I did" (Aidit), will be many who misunderstand.

===================================================

Lalu apa kaitannya dengan kata-kata: "I did"?
