How To Land The Perfect Job
In essence, there really is no perfect job. Even rappers or Hollywood celebrities tend to work-out daily and practice their lines before filming. Having a job is a challenge and even the coolest form of work is still considered work, meaning you still need to be on time. Jobs also tend to differ according to their speciality or their set of skills. Doctors and lawyers tend to study for 6 or more years just to be eligible in their respective fields. Singers, musicians, writers and painters also put in 300,000 hours of practice just to hone their skills, therefore, getting the right type of work means that you need to be knowledgeable and skilful. Government agencies also regulate employment through a set of rules. Employees are required to pass certain regulatory and physical examinations before they are allowed in their respective fields. Doctors need to be healthy in order to practice medicine while labourers still need to learn how to read.
The first thing that you need to do is to think. Yes, think about the type of job that is suited for you. Are you a person who can work in front of the computer for a very long time or are you simply a heavy lifter kind of person? Measure your skills and your education according to the type of job you want. If you have graduated high-school then that is definitely a plus. If you graduated IT in a prestigious school then you are better off practising your degree in an IT related field. Remember, the key here is to measure your skills and knowledge in order to know the best type of job for you.
Of course, if you have a certain type of profitable talent or skill, you still need to compete and audition. Most writers and painters still strive in order to be the best at what they do. They need to grab the attention of the general public in order to be hired. Most publishing houses will never hire a writer who cannot sell a single book. Opera houses and concert halls will also turn down a mediocre singer or musician. Therefore, having a certain set of skills is also important when looking for a job yet such skills should first be accepted by society before it can be profitable. The people should also accept you as unique and fresh.
Now, list down the types of skills and the educational degrees that you have then weighed them down with the type of job that you want. If your specific set of skills and education is equal to the type of work that you want then you are on your way. Once you have written down your skills and educational degrees. Check the classified ads. Measure if there are openings available and check what types of jobs are present today. You will need to have your list later on when you will be applying for work
