55years Part Two
The assassination of John F. Kennedy had a profound impact on those who remember it. It is often said that it seemed that everything changed
in America after this event. Even as a nine year old kid I had the same sense that this event was pivotal and signalled a big change in the
direction and mood of the country. My belief is that this event led many to call into question their fundamental assumptions about the character and the integrity the leaders in our society; and in particular the government and the major institutions of society; and in particular the narratives and motives of the official or "sanctioned" media outlets. It seems that in the years and decades that followed the JFK assassination the validity of these concerns was reenforced many times over.
