RE: Jesus' Crankiness

in #jesus8 years ago (edited)

Sometimes when I want to roast a hot dog, I go out into the woods and find a thin sapling to use for a roasting stick. I'm not angry at the tree, I'm using a resource for a purpose.

Jesus used the fruitless (useless) fig tree to make a memorable point to his followers about the importance that they be useful and bear fruit

Give the mileage He got out of that demonstration over the next 2000 years I'd say that fig tree was put to pretty good use.

Right... I was trying to underline how humane Jesus sometimes was according to Mark... which is good because we can relate to him. Thanks for a genuine comment!
