For the first time, photos from the tomb of Jesus Christ (Photo)
Scientists have exhibited for the first time in centuries, their original surface which is traditionally regarded as the tomb of Jesus Christ, transmits "National Geographic". The grave was covered with marble clothing after 1555 AD, perhaps even centuries ago. The original surface is exposed during the restoration work, being done on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem's Old City. "We are surprised by the amount of material located underneath," said archaeologist association "National Geographic", Fredrik Hiebert. "It will be long scientific analysis, but we will finally be able to see the original rock surface on which according to tradition, lies the body of Christ", he added. According to Christian tradition, Jesus Krishtiti body was put on a shelf or in "funeral bed" where he lived in a limestone cave after his crucifixion by the Romans in the year 30 or 33.
