“Jeepney Love Story”

I can still remember
How I was seated right beside her
On how I prayed that night
On that Wednesday night
On how unexpectedly she came
On how unexpectedly I was seated right by her side

On that jeep
On that seat
I began to reason
Asking God if
Is this a blessing or a temptation?
I began rebuking
In Jesus name

But girl you’re simply amazing
So I made a glance
A simple glance
Suddenly
I asked
Is this heaven?
Cause why am I seated beside an angelic maiden
As we journeyed
I asked the Lord
Is she the one?
Is she the answer to my every prayer?
But there was not an answer
I was curious
Her name
Her number
Where does she lives
I want to know them
But I was coward enough to ask
Then all of a sudden
She left
She left me with a promise that I will surely find her
Then I began reasoning
The science of deduction was then on play
Her uniform was my only clue
My one and only clue of finding you
Her nameplate was an add-on
It tells me her course is education
But from what school, I asked
So I texted several friends of mine asking them to help me find
To find someone who stole my heart
And please tell her I want it back
After several replies that I did
A friend of mine said
We have mint green here Sir
What course, I asked
SPED he answered
I texted another friend
Asking him the full list of his classmates' names
A few minutes he sent it to me via messenger
There were quite a few names on the list
Now what’s left to do is to see their faces
And see if which among of these names resembles her
That was Saturday
I took some coins with me
I went on a piso net
To search every name listed
And see which face will match
After several tries I did
The name listed and numbered 115 on the list resembles exactly the same as her
That same image as of the time I first saw her
That was then I knew her name
Where she lives
And the most important thing
That was then I realized that this girl is worth looking for
As I saw her post about Bible studies and Bible studies
I realized she's not just someone I need but someone we need
Since that day I said to myself
I'm will court her
The first thing I did was wrote her a letter
Applying as suitor to her
It was then followed by a video of me serenading her
Followed by another one and after another
Each time I did those
I was hoping for a response
Each day I waited
But I got nothing, nothing, and nothing
While I was planning
On how should I court her
On how should I reach her
I remember a vision which I had almost a year of two ago
A vision where I saw myself seated beside a woman
On-board on a jeep
It was running and I was holding her hand
Along the journey, I ask myself
Why am I holding her hand
Then I heard a voice saying she's your girlfriend
I said really! I thought I’m going to marry Page
I replied
I look onto who’s beside me but I can’t see her face
Then I was brought back to light
And I remembered how we met
Till then it made sense why the scenario seems so familiar
And this is one of the major reasons
On why I’ve chased her
I want to see what lies behind that vision
Well as I’ve told her
There are things in this world that only the chosen one can see
I'm not saying I’m one of those but that's how they say I am
He is not asking you to believe him
He simply wants to say
This is my story
He simply wants to say
He’ll be waiting
Waiting and waiting
That God will grant the desires of our hearts
And that anything worth having
Is worth waiting for
And you are worth waiting for....
