“Sudden Dusk by However"(1981)

"Sudden Dusk" (released in 1981) is the name of the debut album produced by the American band, However. However it was a very talented and creative group that continuously worked in the market cultivating a progressive jazz-oriented rock from the first half of the 70s; However, it was only in 1981 when they were able to properly enter the record market with the publication of their album 'Sudden Dusk'. The band's musical style is similar in many ways to that practiced by bands like Happy the Man and Hands, with clear influences from the fresh humor of Frank Zappa, Hatfield & the North and National Health. In addition we can find elegantly armed dissonances of Gentle Giant, and the addition of some daring avant-garde edges to Henry Cow. The repertoire is a conglomerate of compositions that exude extreme ingenuity, alternated with melodic sensitivity, a taste for the surprising and the experimental, executed with skill and neat skill. And yet, his repertoire is not inaccessible or abstruse, but in some strange way he lets himself be listened to in a simple relaxed way, despite its evident complexity and the wide level of imagination that is invested in the compositions and arrangements. Perhaps it is these two factors, the recurring good humor and an inevitable interpretive elegance, that allow this material to be, after all, accessible to everyone who loves good music ... =)
