My Journey to Japan 2: Okonomiyaki and Osaka Aquarium

in #japan7 years ago

Last time I said my whole post would be dedicated to Osaka Aquarium. Well I decided to show you Okonomiyaki

I know, appetising right?

Haha, well it just so happens to be absolutely delicious! I have no idea what they put it in it other than beef cabbage and egg, but its glorious!

Osaka Aquarium

This will mostly be photos, theres not much to say, I went to an Aquarium, but this should give you an idea of the attractions there, and maybe if you decide to visit this will give you a further incentive.

Firstly let me start by introducing my favourite fish there. It wasn't big, it wasn't some ferocious shark, nor was it a dolphin. No, I have no idea what kind of fish it is, but it showed the most character out of everything, and is my little friend.

I think it looks like an anime character, or maybe something from Disney.

I was lucky enough to be joined on my tour my a school group, in fact I think there was two or three groups. Whilst I am sure a lot of people would prefer contemplative silence or something, I found it a lot better, mainly because their excitement became my excitement. Not often do adults become thrilled by a turtle, or an otter..but their exclamations of "sugoi!!!", really added to the experience for me.

Anyway, a few more pictures to wrap up, be aware that these are not in any real order, but I suppose they trend from the end of the tour to the beginning.

Conclusion

Osaka Aquarium, its certainly an unusual experience, I'm not big on Aquarium tours, in fact this is probably my first!
But I am very glad I did it, it's so nice to get up close to lifeforms we would never normally see.
If you are in Osaka please visit. Its very inexpensive (less than £10) and it will most definitely add to your experience of Japan.

The next part of this series will be Moving on to Tokyo. I will recount my experience with Jetstar, Kansai and Narita Airports and what I found different between Osaka and Tokyo when I first arrived.
