Thanksgiving Challenge #Day 2: Family

Hello beautiful people, I'm back to continue this challenge. I was nominated by @jeline for this challenge. And today, I will be thankful for family and for families.

The Gift of Family

I am grateful to God for the gift of family. Family is what You gave us freely without us asking for.
And as for mine, it seems you gave me the best. Thank you for dad, mum and siblings (my sisters). Thank you also for the sibling, I never had. You know better why you took that one away.
Thank you for families who make up our neighbors, thank you for love, shared between family and family.

Dad

Thank you for my dad. Thank you for giving me a father who is loving and caring. Thank you for a man who takes pride in leading the family through ancient paths.

When my dad called me yesterday on phone, I felt my heart stopped for a while, he said.....

"I missed your voice and thought it wise to hear from you. When last did you hear from your elder sister?...."

You didn't give me the richest dad on earth, you didn't give me the finest, you didn't give me the most popular, but you gave me something different. Someone I find difficult to truly describe, because of his awesomeness. You gave me a father that cannot be traded for gold, a man in whom I've found wealth, beauty and fame.

A father who disciplines us with a rod and wraps us back in his loving arms. Thank you for this gift of man in form of a father. Thank you for the many times you saved him from death and from dying.

Mum

Thank you for my mum. The you for the gift of mother. A woman who would stay hungry just to feed her children. A woman who would sell everything just to make sure her children are faring well.

Thank you for giving me an amazon in form of a mother. You know all the battles she has won on our behalf by just going on her knees. Thank you for this Heroine, who is a perfect description of Proverbs 31 woman.

Thank you for healing her, for I know that the eye pain she's having will soon be gone. Thank you, for a mother who has raised us from birth to become giants.
Thank you, for I couldn't ask for a better mum.

Siblings (sisters)

Thank you for siblings. Thank you for the beautiful sisters you've given me. Thank you for my elder sister, thank you for my younger sister.
Well, I waited long enough for you to send me a brother, but you know better.

Thank you for these beautiful souls, who have shown me love in different dimensions. My elder sister would give me a peck every morning, just to wake me up. My younger sister baked a fine surprise cake for me on my convocation.

With these two sisters in my life, I have never been starved of love. Thank you for blessing me with them.

Relatives

Thank you for grandma and grand children. Thank you for cousins, nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts etc. Thank you for seeds upon seeds. Thank you for keeping them alive for us.

Finally....

Thank you for the broken families you're healing. Thank you for loving the unloved families. Thank you for saving another marriage from divorce today.

Thank you for the answers to those silent, tearful, midnight prayers. Thank you for bringing love, peace and prosperity to our families. Thank you for healing wounds and for wiping away shame from our face.

Father you know, I am writing these words from the sino atrial node of my heart. There are some feelings my ink will never be able to capture.

But, this is me, in my simplest, helpless, human form saying, thank you today, for family and for families.
