An ambulance convoy near al-Shifa hospital in northern Gaza was hit in an Israeli air strike.

The hospital says there are dozens of casualties. The convoy was heading to the Rafah crossing to deliver severely wounded to Egypt for medical treatment. The Palestinian Red Crescent said the area hit was densely packed with civilians. The IDF claims there were Hamas militants in the convoy. Earlier the Gazan Health Ministry had informed the Red Crescent and Red Cross of the convoy and the roads it would take.
