Hope in The Holy Land
Over the weekend around 100 Gazan's came to the border with Israel to release pigeons carrying notes written with messages of peace to Israelis.
And unlike the response to the violent protests on the border a few weeks ago the media and our news feeds have remained completely silent.
This difference in coverage is crucial to point out because what we focus on we magnify. When our focus is on those who want to harm us, we put them in the spotlight and we allow them to dictate the narrative. When all we see are people who want to harm us it makes us fear. Fear breeds hate, hate breeds violence and the cycle continues.
When we focus on the good. We inspire more good. We empower those who want peace. Remember, where our attention goes, energy flows.
The people of Gaza have far more to gain from peace than we do. We need to work to reach out to them, to inspire more of them to meet us at the border with messages of peace. To work to find common grounds of understanding. And to eventually live side by side in peace.
This is not some distant dream this is a reality we can create for ourselves. We create it by focusing on it. Focus on the outcome you wish to achieve. Focus on the world you wish to live in.
