The Three Times Abraham Lied In His Lifetime.

Prophet Ibrahim is the father of Faith and hr believed very much in Allah. However, in three cases and for important reasons, he lied.

This Hadith was narrated by Abu Huraira:

Prophet Muhammed said "Abraham did not tell a lie except on three occasion. Twice for the Sake of Allah when he said,

1). "I am sick,"

2). "I have not done this but the big idol has done it." This happened when the destroyed small idols his father was worshipping and told them to ask the bigger idol of what happened.

3). The third time he lied was when he was going on a journey with his wife Sarah. They passed by the territory of a tyrant whole journeying. One of the companions of the tyrant told the tyrant that Abraham is accompanied by a very charming lady. The tyrant sent for Abraham and asked of his relationship with Sarah. He said Sarah was his sister. Then, the tyrant told Abraham to fetch Sarah for him. Abraham told Sarah before going to the tyrant that he had told him he was his sister and she should not contradict his statement. When Sarah arrived at the tyrant place, he tried to take hold of her with his hand, but his hand got stiff and he was confounded. He asked Sarah to pray to Allah on his behalf and he will not harm her. Sarah prayed to Allah to cure him and he got cured. He tried to take hold of her for the second time, but his hand got as stiff as (or stiffer than) before and was more confounded. He asked Sarah to beg Allah to cure him again which she did. The tyrant, out of amazement, gave Hajar, a female servant, to Sarah and released her. The Hajar of that day turned out to be the mother of all the Arabs, as she eventually have birth to Ismail, the son of Abraham.
