IoT Devices around the world have become slaves
There are approximately over 2 million IoT devices that have become enslaved by fast growing botNets. The most popular botNet that is growing in popularity and making a name for its self exponentially is called IoT_reaper. This botNet has been able to enslave and capture over 2 million IoT devices. This botNet is made up of IP-based security cameras, routers, network-attached storage devices, network video recorders, digital video recorders, netGear devices, d-link devices, linskys devices, GoAhead, JAWS, Vacron, AvTech, Micro Tik, TP-Link, and Synology.
This botNet recycles some Mirari code, This botNet was put together by unpatched vulnerabilities. The author has not used this botNet in a DDOS attack but the stage is set up for one.
