 An invitation card,  is a card inviting the recipient to a forthcoming event. As a result it could be a wedding, baby shower or birthday party.  The card may be a flat card, , rather than a typical greeting card that folds in half. While technically not a card, an emailed invitation may also be called an invitation card.

Invite Essentials.

An invitation card includes basic information about the forthcoming occasion. Therefore, especially relevant include the name of the event, along with whom it is for, such as, "Joshua Smith's Birthday Party," along with the location and time. Add contact information so recipients can respond to the invite or ask any questions. If the event is formal or if specific attire is requested, such as a costume party, inform guests in the invite.
