Investing without the money. Why Steem is better than Bitcoin.
I saw a trending post on here about how Steemit can help eliminate exorbitant remittance fees. That's great but it's nothing new. Any crypto-currency with enough liquidity to cash out, can make that claim. It's 2016, we need real reasons to get excited about an alt-coin. Steemit has given us that but have any of us recognized just why Steemit is so much better than other crypto-currencies? It's the same reason some people choose to shout ponzi at the first
mention of profit. Steemit allows you to invest in a new promising crypto-currency with ZERO that's right ZERO monetary investment. I use the qualifier "monetary" because you are investing something, just something the not so rich are not used to being paid for yet. Though this thing you are investing is very valuable even to the biggest fish. Have you guessed it yet. You are investing time, attention and brand loyalty. If you have expertise in an area you blog in, you are investing your knowledge as-well. Steemit allows a person with no home, no car, no wallet, nothing, to walk into a public library, and use a library computer to invest in a crypto-currency by telling their story to the world. That is not a ponzi. That is democratic money printing.
I wholeheartedly agree. I´m a case in point, I have never been able to make money, because I have no start-up capital. Now I am making money on Steemit by investing my time and energy in a flexible way, without having to be a wage slave.
Therer will be other platforms that will do the same thing in the future though, like Synereo,Akasha, and Yours, so Steemit will have to stay on top of it´s game. I think Steemit should be gamified even more, and be made even more unique. In that way it will not be outcompeted.
No expensive mining rig no problem.
