Look, I want to trade fast and free as much as the next guy, but why not just let the computers do what they do best? With robots quickly taking over certain needs, businesses are going to need to hire more people to meet the needs of customer interaction. Certain people are going to have so much free time that recreation and consumer discretionary companies listed will benefit immensely (Resorts, Casinos, Amusements, etc). As will Netflix and Verizon and every other screen monger.
By spreading a fund out over a range of young emerging markets, ETFs tracking growth or small-cap companies and also deliver solid gains. The best way for a successful company to invest back in its customers is to get listed and deliver dividends/rewards in addition to a share of the spoils.
On one hand, this clown in office in the USA could upset some "bad hombres". On the other hand, he could encourage the growth of small business, the consumption of domestic products, and the regulation needed to make this transition just a little bit easier.
