Hey people! If that opening looks familiar, you've probably watched one of my youtube videos. That has been my opening line on videos for quite some time. But this isn't youtube, so let's get down to business.

I'm a refugee from New York City. Got out in 1978 and never looked back. Middle Village was the neighborhood in Queens where I spent my first 25 years and I can't say I regret it. We spent most of our time outside--summer or winter--bicycles or sleds. It was fun to have so many friends right on the block.

But I started going upstate to hike in the Catskill Mountains when I was in my teens and it was too long after that my job in the city went south and I took the opportunity to leave. Bought a small house and things would have been great except for one bad habit: I liked to drink too much.

So, long story short, I got sober just before I turned thirty and that was 34 years ago. Life has never been better and somehow I managed to live long enough to retire. Work experience included all the things that a drinker could do and then college in sobriety. So, i have a MA in Counseling and psychotherapy and also owned a motel in Shandaken NY during the late 90s.

Now I do videos for youtube that I find necessary ore useful. My "claim to fame" there is a video on steam cleaning grout. Yup, that's it, steam cleaning grout. I also have a few about the Silverado and some DIY projects. If I search for a video on a subject and can't find real people doing the activity, I make the video myself. My most resent video is about our new Winkbed. I couldn't find a video to show a 300-pounder laying on one, so naturally, I made the video myself.

I'm rather social, as you may have already noticed and that doesn't go over all that well with Mrs. Frugal. She thinks facebook, for example, is the root of most marital evil in the world today. I manage to stay out of trouble for the most part tho.

Now I will be off to read articles on Steemit and see what interesting people are posting here. Seeya
