This means that I get to spend a lot of time with amazing technologies (machine learning, Big Data and all that)

and it also means understanding and solving problems, and establishing positive relationships with a wide variety of interesting people.

Outside of family and work, I like to explore and learn -- be it reading academic papers, books of many species,

the Internet, new urban environments I haven't yet visited, time in nature.

And I love play -- games, sports, imaginative experiences -- you name it.

Beyond data science, I'm pretty knowledgeable in Computing science (got a PhD from the University of Stirling in it -- see publications) and system architecture and engineering -- especially to do with Digital Economy and e-social science topics. But I like to think about and discuss ideas across the board.
