How do I make headway on steemit as a new member?

Am Ejiro Patrick from Nigeria. Am very new on this platform: a friend just introduced me to it, and I like the idea. Now, I really want to make headway as soon as possible, but I don't quite know how to go about it. So please I need willing members to help me with steps to making it here on steemit. Thanks!! Honestly it doesn't help anyone (it really doesn't help you) to try to scam the system to try to make money. The best recommendations anyone can give you are the following:

Make high quality posts with good presentation/formatting and content
Comment on other posts to get more exposure to your account.
Power up most of your steem.
Maybe check out @randowhale?...I've found it to be very worth it.
