First post on Steemit from me (Todd) otherwise known as "yourself"! Hello you beautiful souls.
Hemingway once stated, in one way or another, that a great way to start a new piece is with a statement of truth. Any truth will do so long as it's relevant to the topic. I'm going to take this a bit further and focus primarily on statements of truth or rather axioms of my soul and body that I seem to be experiencing at this moment.
Initial Statements of truth:
(mud) I've been breathing on my own for 24 years. I live in the beautiful state of Utah.
(water) I value the expression of gratitude giving and getting.
(mild) I pursue the physical company of anything that embodies the color Turquoise.
(medium) I've changed majors 7 times and finally settled into a BS of General studies so that I can take whatever classes I want.
(Spicy) I was arrested when I was 17 years old for shoplifting at Urban outfitters, this was the end of an interesting kleptomania that I had developed, around the age of 14, under the notion that all corporations were evil and it was necessary for me to destroy profits with thievery. This belief has since subsided and I forgive my younger self.
(fire) The best thing that LSD ever taught me was to stop taking LSD.
(Charcoal) I've been sober for multiple years alcohol and tobacco included. I don't steal anymore and I appreciate honesty.

Nice introduction! In response, I'll say that I'm with you on valuing gratitude, it's a pretty magical commodity when it comes to getting success in life.
