Hello Steemit!
Hello! I'm Vox Vulpi. I'm an aspiring artist and general nerd. I spend most of my free time reading comics (especially romance manga), playing video games and losing at Magic the Gathering. I hope steemit will be a place I can make friends, show off and get feed back on my art, and talk about media I love.
Meeting new people is pretty scary, and this social network came at the recommendation of someone I really respect, who doesn't often make recommendations, so I'm nervous. Hopefully, in addition to all the beautiful, cultured, and professional content I've seen, there is also a place for my dumb jokes, fan art, and unreasonably emphatic opinions on comic books.

I thought an influence chart might be a fun first post, since it will cover a lot of different interests.

I strongly suggest you be patient. It takes time to build up steem, in any sense.
Make sure to find interesting people who share your interests to follow. Then comment and upvote. This really works best if people are commenting and participating in a community rather than just doing a constantly stream of posts. However, do posts that are OC, not reposts. Resteeming someone's post is generally considered good though.
