A Minnow maneuvering the Ocean: Venice the Menace.

 Mabuhay, Steemians! Venice here, an actual menace but only to desserts and buttered shellfish.  I was encouraged by my long time friend @louielowa to try and give Steemit a go.   

 And so here I am.   

 My given name is Venice Francine but my friends call me Vince. I am fond of my typically masculine nickname because (a) My dad wanted to have a boy so I kind of just gave this one to him to make up for all the headaches I’ve caused and (b) It’s considerably easier to pronounce.    

So I am a self confessed bleeding heart. I am an adrenaline junkie, bookworm, and cuddle monster. I stand for the rights of those who do not have them or those cannot exercise them, be they human, flora, or fauna. I hope to leave behind a planet the next generations can still live in, a community they will thrive in, a legacy of caring and fighting for a natural world they will inevitably inherit and preserve, and a culture of loving and giving to any being, human or otherwise.   

What I want to write about: 

1. Causes - I believe that through the platform Steemit will provide for me, I can spread the causes of multiple organizations dear to my heart, as well as those I might encounter in the near future. Keywords: Kids, Books, and Nature Conservation.   

2. Travel – I am a nomad at heart. Cliché as this may sound, but my heart feels like the world is my home and I am homesick for places I have never even seen. I will try my best to put into words the places I’ve been to and the cultures that made me fall in love with them.  

 A. Extreme/Outdoor Activities – I figured this could be just a subgroup for travel. I don’t really have an extensive list for the extreme sports that I’ve tried and got addicted to but mountaineering, rock climbing, and surfing are there just to name a few. I hope your palms sweat as much mine do when you read about them!   

 3. Food – I cannot stress this enough! I absolutely adore the entire experience of eating and discovering new flavors and the different ways you can enjoy a particular type of produce and how the smallest dash of saffron can make all the difference in the world. And of course Wine! "Good Wine gladdens a person's heart."  I can go on and on but then that would lead to me running out of content for my posts. :p   

4. Emotion – I am undeniably a bleeding heart. I love loving. I love the experience of just feeling and relishing the rainbow of emotions our species can experience. So please bear with me if you manage to come across a particularly sappy blog post. There are days where I can’t help myself.    

5. Books – Last but not the least! I owe the majority of my childhood to books. I grew up very sheltered and more often than not, paperbacks and picture books were my only company. But they were the best company a budding nerd like me could have! I traveled all around the world without leaving the watchful gaze of my nanny. So tune in for book reviews, give or take a few rants when comparing them to their screen adaptations.   

So that's all for now. I hope to publish another blog post before the ball drops this Sunday! I am stoked to get to know the community and do the whole giving birth to new brainchildren thing.
