This Steemit it platform is amazing.. My name is Herman. Let you tell me my stories
Before I tell you about myself, let me just give 2 thumbs up to the Steemit people that came up with this platform. It is beyond brilliant or revolutionary . I have been a tech head before the internet came online, then came dial up and it changed my life. Well the "Steemit moment" was kind of like dialling up that very first time, I'll never forget it.
Finally some smart people put this whole social media thing together. I love reading all of them, but I don't like posting.
Now..thanks to Steemit. I will be able to post and share a lifetime of experiences that people all over the world can benefit from and I can get paid for it.
My first post after this one, will be a chicken story. My wife and I are grieving the fact that we must give up our backyard chickens . Zoning bylaws. While enjoying a campfire with a friend, Wayne suggested I tell my story on Steemit.. after looking into this I had that uber moment that telling it will help me heal. I never thought that the feelings and emotions of getting rid of them is right up there with losing a member of the family. In fact I'm tearing up as I type. I will be sharing 8 years of cooping with pictures and a detail story. each picture I could tell a thousand words. So if your cooping or thinking about it.. I'll call it "Chicken Cooping"
Next post I plan to write is "Greening my World" In fact I have been writing a blog for years, but have not posted the last few years because I didn't have time. I am a solar guy so in that business it's tough enough to make a buck, never mind spending time giving your expertise away. My interest in saving the planet comes from the experience of have a grandchild when I was 38 years old. Another uber moment for me and as I watch her grow up I just said to self.. it's not to late for to make a difference and it starts at home... reuse, reuse, recycle is my motto and so I just want to do all the little things that I can to make a difference. That granddaughter is 20 years old now so I want to tell you of stories of solar systems that I have rewired in Jamaica to take you on a day in a life of a solar guy in Manitoba, Canada.
I am also a huge fan in the block chain and am bewildered when I learn more everyday about the unlimited potential that all the side chains represents. It completely unlocks my dreams. For example ... Every posts I put on Steemit, can be read by my granddaughters grandchildren and they will know what there forefathers had on there mind. Wow I would love to know what my forefathers were thinking as they immigrated to Canada. (They did it for me. )I remember stories my Mom told me, but those memories are just bits and pieces which I may have all wrong..It got me hooked on history channel. When I was young, learning about history didn't matter, but the biggest lessons we can learn is in our history.
Another uber moment I wish to share is preparing my "last will and testament". Yeah it's no fun and what assurance do I have that my Steem dollars are going to incentive my children's children to go to college for example.
Well imagine my delight when I heard of the potential of smart contracts..
I will be posting many more stories. thanks to those that voted this story up, thanks to those that even just read this far. I welcome your comments
