Welcome! I think the biggest problem with overusing labels is that people tend to assume they mean the same thing to everyone, and they don't. Anarchy is a great example. I think most serious anarchists define 'anarchy' as 'no rulers', and basically see it as the logical conclusion of support for 'rule of law' or 'equality under law'. Most non-anarchists see the word 'anarchy' and think chaos and violence, so the label can lead to confusion and conflict if that's all you get. I suspect you have more in common with some of us 'anarchists' around here than your understanding of their labels would suggest, but I look forward to confirming or refuting that suspicion later on.

Well, good point. As the rest of Americans tend to do, I didn't put much in to an attempt at understanding. That point you made about assuming labels mean the same thing to everyone is very tangible. Thank you for the point of view.
