Hi I'm Tony, British crafter of unique pens
Hi Steem. I joined on the recommendation of my son who is into the social media world. This looks like an interesting platform and I'm curious to see what happens.
He told me to write about myself, so here goes. I'm partly retired and outside of my day job I make hand-crafted pens. I use all kinds of woods locally from England, and others from Europe and Africa. I make bespoke pens for certain individuals, and I also have a special collection that I take to craft fairs. My pens are on sale at a yoga retreat center in Spain and I recently had a call from a specialist promotional agency that would like to work with me.
I've been working on this as a side project for the past three years. I invested in all the equipment - lathes, drills, glues, polishes and finishing equipment.
It's amazing how you can transform a so-called ordinary piece of wood into a special pen that fuses art and function together.
When I started out, it was quiet, but it grew through word of mouth and personal contacts. As time has gone I've been more adventurous and made a range of pens that are much more diverse in terms of wood, colour and shape.
I'm planning to write about woodturning and woodwork. In the past I've made beds, furniture and a range of turned items for my four (now grown-up) children.
Like everyone else on Steemit, I'm hoping to make a fortune and hopefully meet some interesting people.
If you're looking for something special following the recent Steem payouts - I'd recommend you take a look at my online shop uniquepen.co.uk. And if you would like to commission your own bespoke pen, please email me on uniquepenco [at] gmail.com
I ship worldwide although I'm out of action for the next 4 weeks as we're taking a long overdue break.
I look forward to interacting with you guys!
Tony

Welcome Tony ツ
A really wonderful work! Your pens are really beautiful.
But I recommend you to take a photo of yourself with a paper on which is written the date and "steemit". This is important as the other steemers will now that it is truly you.
I look demented but my son sorted this for me and he's a useless photographer
I think you look really nice! Thank you for listening to my advice! Good luck!
welcome old man :)
