Introduction; A New Beginning

Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope that you all are well and healthy during these crazy times of the Corona Pandemic.

I have read that I should post a picture of myself holding a paper with the date and time on it, but I will skip that in order to protect my privacy... (apologies in advance!) I hope I can verify myself through my future posts.

The city I'm living in is currently in a somewhat easy "lock down" due to the corona virus. Also having the responsibility to stay home in order to not make the situation worse, I have loads of time (not that I'm bored) and therefore I have been doing a lot of reading and thinking. I have been thinking about many things, but among one of them being my future.

I am currently a university student majoring in Physics. I have a feeling that people tend to think that when one studies a natural science, they go into research. Now, this is one of my options, but I am also open and considering other options as well. It's still a long way to go until I will finish my studies, but it never hurts to be ready, right?

I have started considering Journalism as a possible career path. Unfortunately, I suck at writing. Or so I've told myself, language arts being my worst subject in high school. But I didn't want to just give up and throw that option away. What if it's my dream job? What if that path brings me the most joy?

I have made this Steemit account out of curiosity 2 YEARS AGO!!!! Not really knowing what to make out of it, I didn't really have the courage to start anything. It coincidentally crossed my mind the other day and thought it would be the perfect platform which has a nice community, where I can start writing and practicing.

I plan to write blogs about my thoughts, ideas, daily happenings and etc. I also have passion in photography, so I hope to use this account not only to write, but also in posting photographs. Basically almost anything I guess.

Hopefully through this process, I can improve my ability in writing and maybe in photography as well.

Eight suggestions to consider:

Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and steemconnect,
The master password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and
be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
When you open your steemit.com, in the upper right corner of the page there are 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a lot of reading material that will help you.
Do NOT open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.
