Hi there! my name is Steve , and i'm a concert promoter/sociologist from Croatia

Well, as i already said, my name is Steve (my real is Stipe, but i just tell every foreigner i meet to call me Steve, it's a lot easier that way ) , and while i do have a bacjelors degree in sociology, i discovered that besides a passion for creating and discovering music, i had a passion of promoting underground shows at the best place this side of the Mississippi, Klub Kocka !

Kocka is a venue run by a coaliton of NGO's with some support from the local government, and it has beend doing it's best in the last 15 years or so to promote underground music and culture in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and it is also my home away from home.

I've spent the last 5-6 years volunteering and doing shows at Kocka along with a tightly knit group of people that have a common non profit goal of making Split a little better by introducing non mainstream music and art to the average Joe.
The club is actually a lot more than an average club, we have a studio, a rehearsal room, a kitchen, sleeping room, screenprinting workshop, gallery, etc. so i guess most of my blog will be writing about the awesome people that run this club along with album reviews from various artist in the region and some funny and/or educational stories from the promoting world , hope you'll enjoy it and i look forward to any questions and comments!
