Ramón Ocando Perez
Ramón Ocando Pérez (August 17, 1899 - January 21, 1995) was the founder of the "Scout Movement" in Venezuela.
And his parents were Numa Pompilio Ocando Cangas and Julia Pérez Rus.2 His first contact with the boy scouts took place around 1912, when on a trip to Curacao during school holidays, he stayed in the residence of a Friend of his father, Cap. Pedro Picus. On the way to Punda important area of the present capital Willemstad, I witness for the first time a parade of a troop of Padvinder (Dutch Scouts).
On January 20, 1913, the day of San Sebastian, patron of Maracaibo Ramón Ocando Pérez accompanied by several young people and friends and inspired by the Scouting for Boys of General Baden Powell, founded the first Patrol of Venezuelan Scouts, named "Lobos" . This same day takes his Scout Promise, according to his own statements and evidenced in personal CV written by him in the year 1973.
Between December of the previous year and July of 1914 he gives oral and written exams in the subjects of Castilian Literature and its history, chemistry, geography and its history, physical, German among others corresponding to the 2nd year of the course of Philosophical Bachillerato.
