I came across Steemit while doing some research on the applications of blockchain tech in real-world scenarios, and the concept made me curious. Seeing as this is a young community with a lot of people doing interesting things, I felt compelled to join and contribute things I've been wanting to write about here, as opposed to other platforms where I may not get as much feedback.
