Abstracts and Florals

I'm spending more time creating more art and I'll be ready to share more of my artwork on Steemit soon. I've been taking a break from painting for so long it seems, almost like an eternity. I put my heart and soul into my paintings. Enjoy!

I continue to create floral paintings and bold abstracts. Seeking the right balance between color and design. My art reflects a play with color, be it pastels or the bold fierce combinations of abstract art. For my florals, I seek out the essence of the floral object rather than an exact replica.

This lilac below is a work in progress with a bit more work to do.

My work is bright, bold, playful with color as much as it is unique. For many of my watercolor are based around old style botanical prints reflecting that pure simplicity. Lilacs, for example, are ordinary flowers, no frills, without the flare of tropicals.

UPDATE!

I'm still working out all the details of my Art Promotion work with the artists, sponsors and such. I've been at this for a few years now with helping other artists and it's so rewarding! Also, I've been developing a new idea of running Art Contest on Steemit to help other artists which has started to come together. My last post speaks about the details on how to enter! The entries are just now starting to come in, which is wonderful to seeing happening!
