THE DOLPHINS

My dearest ones from the Steemit community I want to share with you my passion for dolphins, the dolphins are part of one of the most intelligent animals in the world, they measure between 2 and 9 meters long, they live in family groups that they can surpass up to 1,000 individuals. Dolphins live in all the oceans that exist in the world and even in some important rivers.

What the dolphins eat:

The food that the dolphins eat is different for each of the species, while some dolphins eat fish such as cod, herring, or mackerel, some others eat squid and other cephalopods. In general, the amount of fish they eat depends on the species of animals they hunt.

Reproduction and sexuality:

The actual act is usually brief, but it can be repeated several times in a short time. The actual act is usually brief, but it can be repeated several times in a short time. They only have one baby. In general, sexual activity begins at an early age, even before reaching sexual maturity. The age of sexual maturity varies according to species and gender.
Social behavior:

Dolphins are social animals that live in family groups. Dolphins can also participate in acts of aggression towards other dolphins. An adult male dolphin is very likely to have several scars caused by bites on his body. Male dolphins participate in these acts of aggression, due to peer conflicts and competition for females.

Dolphin habitat:

The common dolphin can be found in all tropical, sub-tropical, and temperate-warm waters. In the Atlantic Ocean, they migrate to northern places as far as Iceland and are found in the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, the Red Sea, and the Persian Gulf.

Morphology:

The dolphins have an agile fusiform body adapted to swim at high speed thanks also to the powerful muscles that move their caudal fin. For its part, the pectoral fins, together with the tail section, provide directional control and the dorsal fin, in those species that have, provides stability. Although it varies according to the species, the basic patterns of coloration are the gray tones, usually with the ventral area lighter, and often have lines and spots that contrast with the main color.delfines.jpeg
