My name is Jeff and I run Serac with one of my best friends. I've always loved going camping and king since I was a kid, and after college I decided that doing something in that space is what I wanted to do with my life. I had no idea what I was doing at first and decided to learn by doing. We started out by making something that we both loved and frequently used on our backpacking trips - the humble hammock.

In the beginning, we were shipping our products out of my garage, but now, 3 years later, we're still in business selling camping hammocks. Additionally, we have ultralight tarps, hammock mosquito nets and a bunch of new products in the pipeline.

It's been a very rewarding journey building this company from scratch (especially since it gives me a reason to travel and head into the wilderness for product research). Last year, I essentially lived the entire year nomadically, jumping from country to country while running my business from my computer.

As a retail business owner, I am very excited for how cryptocurrencies can fundamentally change how our industry operates. With the support of the Steemit community, I am excited to explore to possibilities cryptocurrency can the retail space. I think there is a responsibility on small business owners like myself to help spread the adoption of cryptos and drive the adoption of cryptos into the mainstream.
