A new beginning on Steemit

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Hello Guys. A warm welcome to everyone who is reading this post. It's my seventh day on Steemit and I have a thing or two to share about my experience till now. Also, I got my first set of rewards today from Steemit. It is not much though, but I am happy to see small amounts rolling into my wallet.

So, during these 7 days I have been doing a lot of little experiments with Steemit. I created long posts, short posts, I resteemed content, upvoted content, made comments on other posts and tried different apps like Busy.org, ChainBB.com and Dmania.lol.

Now, based on my findings, I have concluded that the Steemit community appreciates genuine content. By genuine content, I mean something that is real and has some weight. For example, you are good at making memes or reviewing movies. You are actually providing genuine content here posting them. You do not have to write about Rocket Science here, your content could be as simple as posting a few pictures about your travel or a small family get together. Yes, this is really all it takes.
Moreover, only comment on posts about which you feel something. For example, someone just posted a review about a movie, you watched the movie too and want to just talk about what you liked in it the most, you can go ahead and make comment about it. This is much much better than just commenting "Wow Great Post here, mate" on every single post out there. Believe me, your mentality shows up in your comments and posts. After all, we are all humans here sitting behind our screens enjoying Steemit.
Human loves interaction to a human rather than a bot, so we should stop acting like a bot. You will definitely gain upvotes, replies and appreciation from the community.

When I started, I wanted to post about many things, but now I am going to change my strategy a bit. I am going to be more specific, I am going to talk about specific things that are coming straight from my heart and ignited by my passion. I am in love with ancient hindu scriptures, I always wanted to read them and talk about them. I have collected a pile of books at my home which I never really got a chance to read.

Now, I'll read these books and post articles based on my reading, which I am sure if not all but some of you will enjoy. I am also looking forward to discuss about these with the like minded individuals. I am really not going to care about number of upvotes and number of comments here. I'll be happy if I have meaningful interactions with the people reading my content.

Most important aspect is that I am going to enjoy reading it and talking about it.

Lastly, I wish you all great success here on Steemit and let us add value to the Steemit platform in our own ways that we can.

Hello Robert, you are most welcome. Glad to have you on-board.
Cheers.

It was the first reading in my Steemit career, and this comment is the first too.
so agreed that "genuine content", of course, we just post our genuine living, feeling, just post, comment, upvote, without any addition of purpose.
by the way, i'm just an English learner, so, be nice...if any unpleasant of the text. : )

Hello Mate, nice to have you here on Steemit.

I see there are people from all nationalities on Steemit. I am an English Teacher. I believe I should post articles on improving and learning english here on my Steemit blog. I am sure the community will find it useful.

That's great! I have just finished learning the NCE course book3, and I'm looking forward to the book4. I think I should follow you to get some useful advice.: )

Sure! You are welcome.
