Hoi! I'm new, my name's Dominique.

A little bit ago my friends introduced me to steemit, just so I could upvote their posts. Now I want to try it out myself.

My name is Dominique and I'm a girl from the Netherlands. I don't have many hobbies besides watching netflix, talking to people, eating food and every now and then, I take a nap. I love traveling and although I haven't been far, I'd like to move to America when I'm done with school.

I'm in college right now (stressful, send help). I'm studying Social Work and it's pretty cool. It's not what I imagined and I don't feel like I will do much with it in the future. But, since I have only one and a half year to go, so it doesn't feel right to quit now. After this, I want to keep studying. Or maybe I'll take a gap year. Not sure.

My day is pretty simple. I wake and go to my internship, then I get back home and have dinner. After that I take a nap or work on school things and browse the web. After spending hours watching videos on 'the weird side of YouTube' or chatting on Discord, I go to sleep. (most of the time a bit too late for my liking, but hey, that's my own fault)

I'm interning at an organisation that helps refugees move to their new homes, integrate into the Dutch society and help them reunite with their family. I've definitely learned a lot, mainly because I didn't have any experiene with refugees. Now that I've been around them four days a week for roughly 5 months, I understand them a lot better.

I live with my mum, my sister and my grandparents. The most important thing in our home: the pets! (sorry grandma)
You give them food and you receive love in return! Beautiful. We currently own 2 cats, 3 dogs, 1 hamster, 2 guinea pigs and a few chickens. We used to live on a farm with horses and pigs but unfortunately these animals were the only ones we could take with us to the house we moved into recently, which has a bed and breakfast. (this means absolute silence when I'm outside and no yelling at the dogs because OoOoOoOh mAn it might disturb the guests)

I used to go horseback riding and do gymnastics but I told myself the gym was better. I went once.

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to post on here, but don't expect too much. Or maybe you should. I like to expand my knowledge and learn about random things, so maybe I'll write about that. I could do anything!
