Sorry to hear about that sad story. If it makes you feel any better, we are at the cusp of these laws turning as the pressure increases to change the laws that apply to those living in and being a part of "the US". It will be one of the first places on Earth to turn it around large-scale, and the rest of the governments will follow. It might happen this year still, as the statistics from the few legal states really can't be denied even by the most stubborn of contollers.

They will also need a new pacifier for a waking public, so it's in their best interest to make it available in the short-term to at least appear to act in the public's best interest (if that is even possible anymore).

Breathe, it will all work out even if it seems bleak right now. This change is long overdue and with it - the dropping of all related charges. Too many families have been affected.
